CALMer Kids Therapeutic Parenting Program

This program has six modules of video-based learning and six hours of individualized therapeutic family-centred support sessions. During the CALMer Kids program, we will show you how to move away from heightened family reactions towards more emotionally regulated responses. As a parent/caregiver, you are the biggest and most powerful therapeutic tool for your child. Why? Well, and most importantly, you are there for the high and low emotions. You are there for the daily struggles and celebrations. That results in many, possibly hundreds of opportunities in the run of a day to practice new and neurologically calming activities with your children.

Emotioanl Eating Support

Through deep, relational, and reflective talking therapy, functional nutrition, body movement, breathing exercises, and meditation, you can feel whole and have a greater sense of food freedom in your life. We will be talking about the power of working with the parts of you that are using food to cope with uncomfortable emotions. And with your parts that are highly critical of your emotional eating. It is a powerful counselling process to work with these parts because they often cause internal dynamics that keep you stuck in unhealthy behaviours and build stress in your life. As healing occurs, you will gain more access to the wise parts of yourself that enable you to make long-term wellness choices. You will participate in 7 individual counselling sessions with Laurie Pinhorn Holistic Counselling Services. These sessions are an integration of Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and possibly EMDR trauma reprocessing sessions. In our sessions together, we explore the subconscious mind—the silent powerhouse behind 95% of your decisions.
