CALMer Kids Therapeutic Parenting Program

This program has six modules of video-based learning and six hours of individualized therapeutic family-centred support sessions. During the CALMer Kids program, we will show you how to move away from heightened family reactions towards more emotionally regulated responses. As a parent/caregiver, you are the biggest and most powerful therapeutic tool for your child. Why? Well, and most importantly, you are there for the high and low emotions. You are there for the daily struggles and celebrations. That results in many, possibly hundreds of opportunities in the run of a day to practice new and neurologically calming activities with your children.

Anxious Adolescents — Empowered Parents

Of all the counselling services I provide, one of my favorites is working with adolescents and their families. I have been working with adolescents who are living with mental health concerns and emotional regulation issues for about 25 years. The developmental period of adolescence starts at about age 9 (pre-adolescence) and runs right up to the time that we are about 25 years old (late adolescence). Some places in the world define adolescence from ages 12 to 24. No matter how we want to allocate the periods, this is a long time! That is why patience and persistence are essential when living with and counselling young people.
